I purchased a new Landrover Discovery 3 TDV6 model just under two years ago and recently clocked through 100,000 kilometres.
Wow what a car!
As a high end tour operator I bought the car based on the very clever engineering that allowed for seven people to sit in absolute comfort. Amazingly the two seats in the back are the best in the car; panoramic stadium style seating provides great views and plenty of space.
Every guest over the past 24 months has been thoroughly impressed with the comfort and more importantly capability of the vehicle.
I use the Landrover Discovery for the purpose it was made …… real deal 4WDing into hard to access Australian bush. No London Tractors here.
I’ve had it sideways, belly deep in mud, I’ve gone through half a dozen dust encrusted air filters (few comments are more pleasing than my mechanic claiming them to be the dirtiest he has encountered), I’ve towed out three Landrcuisers, ripped three tyres and successfully avoided a massive 6 ft Kangaroo under full brakes on a gravel track.
The only problems encountered were minor (park brake motor, rear door catch, air compressor cover) and all replaced under warranty without question from Southern Landrover in Cannington, Western Australia.
All in all an awesome car!
No wonder Landrovers have won every major international 4WD award in the past few years. Well done to all team at Landrover for finally creating a reliable Discovery. I look forward to my Discovery 4.
